Lake Union Paddle Boarding and Kayaking

Lake Union offers tons of paddling opportunities and is a quick paddling option for anyone in the Seattle area. During the summer you will see boats of all types soaking up the sun on the lake and the occasional seaplane taking off and landing. You can paddle around the lake to explore Seattle’s famous floating houses, cruise by Gas Works Park to see if you can find a picnic to join, or venture your way over to either Ivar’s Fish Bar or the White Swan Public House to grab a bite to eat and a drink.


Location: Lake Union, WA

Launch: There are multiple places to launch around Lake Union. The best place to launch is on the public dock managed by the Lake Washington Rowing Club. This is a low to the water dock ideal for getting in/out of kayaks and on/off SUPs. You will the entry to this dock right next to Lake Washington Rowing Club. Google maps address here.
