Icicle Creek to Wenatchee River
Leavenworth is close to some amazing paddles and is a great escape from the dreary rainy days that exist west of the Cascades. The Icicle Creek to Wenatchee River stretch is an incredibly scenic float, a river section suitable for all experience levels, and can be tackled on a kayak, canoe, raft, drift boat, or stand-up paddle board (SUP). You start in a calm slow-moving section of Icicle Creek that later flows into the larger quicker flowing Wenatchee River. You will pass by riverfront houses, get sneak peeks of the mountains that make up the Enchantments area, and float through downtown Leavenworth before exiting on the right side of the river after Blackbird Island on the Wenatchee River.
