Pink Salmon (humpys) FYI

If you are going to be out catching Humpys this year, be careful how you retain them after you land it.

First, CUT the gills BEFORE you bonk it. this way all the blood is pumped out.
you want the blood gone!

Then gut it and ICE it in a cooler immediately or it will turn to MUSH!

take your little boat to the green/duwamish river.
you can launch it all over that river in the lower reaches and get into alot of humpys.

Below 99 is a NO BAIT zone, above it though you can use bait/scents all you want, one single point hook max though.

my buddy and i boated around 40 a couple weeks ago when we launched at the first ave bridge.

what kind of jigs are you talking about?

like plastic bass jigs? or like point wilson dart jigs? or like hair steelhead jigs?
